Does it cost more to book with a travel agent?

No! Booking with a travel agent does not always cost more than booking directly with suppliers. In fact, it can sometimes be cheaper & may occasionally include added perks at no extra cost (Free Breakfast, Hotel Credits, Early Check-in / Late Check-out). Many travel agents are commission-based, meaning they receive payment from hotels, cruise lines, & other travel providers, not from the traveler!

Are there any fees?

Upscale Journeys does charge a non-refundable planning fee upfront to compensate for the agent’s time, expertise, & research while ensuring the highest level of service. The fee $50 for individual booking requests. A group of 15 or more people will require a larger planning fee based on the needs & dynamics of the request.

Why should I book with a travel agent instead of online?

From the moment you book, I’ll handle all the details for your desired trip! Here at Upscale Journeys, you will receive expert advice, personalized recommendations, exclusive deals, & assistance before, during, & after your trip! I also handle modifications, cancellations, & any emergencies on your behalf. Sometimes booking a trip can be stressful & time consuming. How does the booking process work?

To get started, you will need to fill out an inquiry form with all the details of your trip. Once the non-refundable planning fee is received, I will begin curating exactly what you asked for! You will receive your personalized proposal via email with 3 options for you to pick from. Pay a deposit to lock in your quoted price & that’s it!

When are deposits due?

Depending on when your travel dates are, a deposit may be required at the time of booking, while the remaining payment is due no later than 30-45 days before your departure date. Make sure you have a credit card ready once you choose an option from your quote to lock in that price.

Do you offer payment plans?

Absolutely! We want to make your vacation as easy & stress free as possible. When you book at least 45 days before your departure date, you’ll have the option to split up your payments after making a deposit. We also offer reduced deposits for a small fee. You can choose the payment schedule that works best for you, or you can follow the suggested one I provide, as long as everything is paid in full by the final due date.

Do I need travel insurance?

Travel insurance is a policy that provides financial protection against risks & unexpected events that can occur before or while traveling. It’s a way to alleviate potential losses from things like trip cancellations, medical emergencies, lost luggage, or flight delays. I always recommend adding insurance for a peace of mind, providing reassurance that you have a safety net in case something goes wrong before or during your trip.

Booking Policy

A $50 non-refundable planning fee is due at the time of your inquiry submission. A group of 15 or more people will require a larger planning fee based on the needs and dynamics of the request. You can expect your proposals with 3 options delivered via email within 5 business days. Proposals will expire 14 days after delivery. If an option hasn’t been selected before the expiration date, a new inquiry submission & planning fee is required. You are allowed 2 revisions after the initial delivery until a new planning fee is required. Each revision will expire 14 days after delivery. Pricing is subject to change at anytime until the deposit has been paid. The minimum age to book is 18. Options for those under 21 will be limited. All information provided at the time of booking needs to match exactly how it is shown on your passport/REAL ID.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations are subject to the policies of the resort/hotel and or airline. Travel insurance can provide a refund if your trip is cancelled due to a covered reason outlined in your policy. However, not all travel insurance plans offer the same level of coverage, the specific reasons for which a refund is available may vary. If the remaining payment is not paid in full by the final due date, the reservation is subject to cancellation. Planning fees are non refundable even if travel insurance is purchased. To request a cancellation, please an email to upscalejourneys@gmail.com.
